It's Texas-OU weekend!
Austin-ness:
Saturday - The Texas Longhorns (#5) play the Oklahoma Sooners (#1) at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas at 11:00. The game is televised on ABC.
For the first time in seven consecutive years, I will not be attending the State Fair of Texas and Red River Shootout/Rivalry. I'm missing the pre-game excitement, seas of burnt orange and crimson red, Big Tex, and getting the annual box of salt water taffy. Lockstep wishes he had a Fletcher's Corny Dog, too.
Houston-ness:
Friday - New York Pizzaria in Midtown. I really like this place. The atmosphere and food is really good.
